Developments of interlaboratory comparisons on pressure measurements in the Philippines

The National Metrology Laboratory of the Philippines, Industrial Technology Development Institute under Department Science and (ITDI-DOST) offered first its kind interlaboratory comparison in pressure measurement country following a demand survey identifying gaps proving competency local calibration laboratories. This paper presents development implementing two comparisons Philippines with six years interval using same artefact. With many objectives, program also aimed to provide these laboratories access proficiency testing (PT) comply ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Comparatively, while both are considered successfully implemented, improved awareness commitment quality participants enhanced pilot laboratory such activity few enumerated factors instigating increase number as well those obtaining satisfactory results latter PT. schemes at sustaining demands metrology stakeholders continuously develop this service support further progress capabilities country.
